Wow...8 weeks? Most pups are still with their moms and siblings. No wonder she cries at night. Putting her close to you is the best thing to do. Maybe, a warm water bottle under her blankie for comfort. I found if Dori could see me, she was fine with the crate at night.
At 8 weeks, your pooch would have to be taken out of her crate frequently for potty. So, little sleep for you.
During the day, she will need constant monitoring. She should basically be attached to your hip so you can get used to her signals for pee and poo. A regular schedule is essential...always go out after sleep, play or eating.
Don't expect miracles until your baby has matured; look for consistency around 6 months.
