Oh, I am so sorry! I know how you feel! One time I took Cheyenne to our regular groomer, and told her that Cheyenne had a few little mats where she wears her harness, and I would comb them myself, not to touch that area. All I wanted was for her to have a trim-my groomer KNEW this! Cheyenne always got a trim, and sanitary, ALWAYS! I would also write out a note for each kid because I was always afraid that would happen and it did.
When I picked her up, she had been SHAVED from nose to tail! I cried! Hubby was furious! I said then I would never take my kids to a groomer, and bought my own clippers, books, etc., and I do it myself. It's been years now.
It will grow back, but it will take along time...all you can do is be cautious and always write out what you want done, or learn to groom yourself, like I did....
