I don't think she will get sick later in life from taking heart warm meds once a month. You should talk to your vet about it there are to many false things online about certain stuff that you really have to be careful what you read. She will have to get a heart worm test before she can get the meds at least that's how most vets do it. Your vet didn't talk to you about this stuff when you took her in for puppy wellness and stuff?
