You can repel most mosquitoes but not all and all it take is one mosquito bite to give your dog heart worms and even if found out early enough the treatment can still kill your dog its really not something to play with. Callie is on Advantix which is supposed to repel mosquitoes but she still got a few mosquito bites just the other week in the middle of winter. Its one pill a month not like ever day and many many many dogs take heart warm prevention with absolutely no problems.
