That is what I thought, too, at first. lol That is, until I researched other beds. I found that they are comparable to other nice beds out there in price and looks. They are so comfortable. They are washable and you can just throw them in the dryer. I've even just thrown Betty Boop's in the dryer just to fluff them up. She has 2 and we love them. My husband even uses them when he is lying in the floor watching TV!! lol
