I've never been to Brazil (but it's a place I'd love to go). I have flown internationally and checked a dog into cargo though with British Airways. I was allowed to attach a bowl to the inside of the front door of the crate (so it's fillable from the outside) and the crew added water once on board. I also lined the crate with pads and put an old t-shirt in there too, and I hid milkbones inside the t-shirt, so I knew she'd have something to munch on if she was hungry during the flight.
