Reverse Sneezing? Good Evening Everyone,
So Manny started making this strange noise 2 days ago. It pretty much sounded like he was snorting/coughing or something. The first time we noticed this was in the morning; my boyfriend and I woke up to him making this noise.. and that's when we noticed that he had thrown up on the bed. We watched him closely that day, and he wasn't making that noise anymore, never threw up again and seemed perfectly fine.
Last night he started making the same noise.. but it wasn't going away this time. We didn't know what it was, so we ended up taking him to the ER. The vet told us that his exam was normal, and that it was most likely a case of reverse sneezing.. since Manny has only thrown up that one time and is eating normally.
I looked up videos on youtube regarding reverse sneezing, and all the videos I've seen.. it seems like this is indeed what Manny has. He doesn't appear to be in any pain and he still eats normally. However, I'm just really worried because when we tried to play fetch with him earlier.. he would have to stop running because he would be sneezing. We are keeping a close eye on him, just in case his symptoms were misdiagnosed.
Does anyone know what triggers reverse sneezing? |
