Yorkies don't respond positively to negativity in any way, shape, or form. To quickly train a Yorkie, catch the pup doing 'the right thing' or behavior you want to see more of, and praise the heck out of them, and give treats.

It took me four weeks just to catch my little girl peeing on the peepad, so I could praise her and show her that that is what makes me happy. I had to ignore 50 some accidents around the pad and on the rug, lol. Just cleaned it up.

If you show any kind of displeasure, they will begin to hide their potties and will become fearful of you and /or the owner. Once you praise her for doing right, they usually catch on pretty quickly.

Ps: Frenchies are way cool!
