I saw this yesterday on TV...somewhere, and felt so sad about how this happened. I feel terrible for the anchor - she clearly loves animals and does so much for them; she trusted the dog was comfortable and got too close to his face. So tragic, but I agree with those who say you can't fault the dog. Unless the owners had previous knowledge about biting -- then, they would be careless in allowing the anchor to get in the dog's face.
Like Brit, I've always been anti BSL, and I truly hope this story doesn't get swept away by incorrect information
