Maybe you can find something in between...leave some places long and clip the really tangly places so as not to put your baby through as much detangling. I have seen some really cute clips...there is one that mimics a Chinese Crested on a Yorkie that is adorable...long legs and head, and short clipped body. Cute either way, though!
