Joey's had his for over 5 years; it's one of those things that get better with age. If it gets wet don't let it dry in the sun or with any type of forced heat, just lay it flat and let it dry naturally. Also, don’t let you dog have access to it when it’s not on him. The main problems I’ve read about are when dogs have chewed on it. Dog will chew on leather.
