Be careful, sewing is very addictive! You shouldn't have any problem at all, seriously. If you do, just holler... lol! Good luck with your class.
I have that same sewing machine. It was my great grandmothers and I got it when my grandma passed. I haven't tried to use it, as I have no clue where to buy parts for it. The belt is dry rotted and it definitely needs to be cleaned!
