I know this is probably not a popular answer, but I free feed all of my animals (Jack and his brothers and sister - the cats). In my opinion, they only eat when they are hungry and don't gorge themselves. Jack weighs in at 5 pounds and is perfect at almost 3 years old. I free feed Jack kibble and then give moist once per day. Good luck!
