It takes a couple of weeks for the heat cycle to end. Watch her carefully. A female dog in heat can get an infection called Pyometra. I had a little puppy almost die of it when she went through her first heat. Lack of energy, fever, thirst are some of the symptoms. It comes on quickly and requires prompt treatment. I'm not saying it will happen but I just want you to know to watch out for it. Hopefully she will go through her cycle just fine.
