Cute ears - not that big. But if they bother you, let the hair grow out in front and behind them to about 2" and then trim the top 1/3 of the ears close. The other hair growing around the base and lower 2/3 of the ears will mask much of the actual size of the ears by standing up and out around them and with the tops of the ears trimmed close, the effect is one of small ears peeking out of all the hair. Look at pictures of other Yorkies and you will see that a lot of non-show Yorkie owners keep the ear tips clipped short and let the rest of the ear and surrounding hair grow out long enough to stand up and out but not long enough to lay down - and mask the most of the ear size in hair. Sometimes clipping the hair on the head shortish so that it will stand up more and not lie down flat from length will also mask ear size, too. Tibbe has a sort of cottonish coat and keeping his head hair shortish on the top causes it to stand up and make his ears look smaller than they actually are.
