Dogs are very forgiving creatures. They do not hold grudges like humans- I think if you start with a good trainer- or read up on some books you will gain his trust again. It will take some time, but I know it can be done-That poor thing- I am glad you saved him- sounds like he was in a horrible home!! Training is always good for human and dog!!

Just a little story on training! My Peanut is scared of extension cords ( ya i know- I have no idea where it came from) I am working with him to get above this fear- It only took 4 sessions and he is already 80% over the fear- I know it will take more time, but it is amazing how fast you can rehabilitate them-

I am a big fan of Ceaser Millan too- " exercise, discipline and affection" That is the way to go!
