Ooh maybe he isn't able to digest the new food and he is eating his poop to try to get more nutrition? That's what "they" say is one reason puppies do it. Baby did that when she was a puppy. I put Deter in her food and the poop eating stopped. It usually does stop after they are puppies, but I haven't heard of older dogs doing it. The changing of the food is the only reason I can think of.
