I do the same as YorkieUSA - hold the hair dryer by Jack's ears to make sure they are dry after a bath. I also use a Q-tip just on the outer part of his ear that I can see. I never put the Q-tip down into the canal as I don't want to damage his ear drums. I have never plucked his ears and just keep an eye on him to make sure his ears are good and dry after bathing - he will be 3 years old in May and he has never had an ear infection.
