As the post indicates, removal means you will probably have to deal with dry eye because one of the tear ducts will be taken out. Dry eye requires daily drops to prevent corneal ulcers and other problems.
The tuck is not always a permanent fix.
I highly recommend going to an ophthalmologist for this. I've read really old threads on YT of successful surgeries, but I don't recall anyone mentioning which method they used.
