I always say I am going to up-keep with Jackson's nails and then never do.
They never get too terrible - but I'd like to "train" them to be shorter (I think I read that if you trim little bits more often, then you will be able to cut shorter... or something along those lines...)
He gets professionally groomed approx. every 10 weeks or so. He got them cut pretty short while he was under for his dental in November and I noticed that helped a lot, they did not seem to grow as fast.
I do have some basic nail clippers, kind of like these:

But I did not know if there were any products that made it more simple, or made it so I can't really easily cut into his quick. I am NOT good at cutting his nails because he moves his feet too much and then I get worried about hurting him, etc.
So I was looking at something like this:
Bamboo Perfect Paws Dog Nail Trimmer at PETCO
but did not know how successful those things are.
