Hi everyone! I am new to Yorkie Talk and would like to introduce myself! My name is Jenny and I've had T-Bone for 3 days now. He is such a sweet boy! He's slowly adjusting to his new home and hasn't cried very much even on the first night in his new crate.
My main concern is his diet/eating habits. Before arriving to my home, he was a hearty eater, gobbling up Eukanuba dried kibble mixed with some canned wet food. Since he has arrived, he has rejected all kibble and wet food. I tried to force feed him a little wet food but he started to get a bit defensive and I stopped forcing him to eat. I've been left to feed him steamed chicken breast with plain white rice which he loves very much. I can't seem to wean him off the chicken/rice and onto the kibble/wet food.
The only other thing he truly enjoys eating is the Nutrical which I've been consistently feeding him at least 3x/day.
Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get him to try the dog food? I can't imagine that feeding him chicken/rice completely satisfies all his nutritional needs. Any advice will be much appreciated! Thanks in advance!
