Hon, why don't you upload a picture and an explanation of what your trying to do/accomplish with your babys coat.

A Yorkies coat will grow and be healthy as long as your Yorkie is healthy, and if you puppy cut her now, you will see that she will have long hair again in no time at all.

How old is your Yorkie? There are different types of coats, not all Yorkies can have that pretty fine long hair. If your Yorkie is very young her coat is probably changing so don't blame yourself so much!
