I think if at all possible you need to keep your appointment because Bridgett's life is at risk. I have bad anxiety and depression and even on terrible days when its very bad if Callie has had an appointment or has to have something done I always push myself like crazy to get it done because she is a living breathing thing that hurts and has needs. Dog are very forgiving and forgive everything but because of the seriousness of her illness and how long you have already waited she may not make it much longer to forgive you.
