Knowing what I know now, I wouldn't bring one home before 12 weeks. Mr. Beasley was 12 weeks old when I purchased him, but I have since found out that I bought from a broker who most likely sold for a puppy mill. No telling when he left his mom.
That said, is the puppy over 2lbs yet?
