Okay I am not going to read this thread. I've done my time with this subject as a former owner of Black Labs, a pitbull thrown on the thruway, a St. Bernard, a couple pointers....I can say for sure it is not breed specific, nor are the cures.
It is, however time consuming and vigilance is key. You may not find the cure right away, but try everything listed, each dog will have his own remedy...trust me. In the meantime a clean bucket of water with antiseptic soap and a washcloth a tinge of listerine will do the trick...In the end it will be worth it, I promise. I remember a time when I didn't think I could go on anymore with this daily...there are no words...but read the thread and do what it takes, there is light at the end of the tunnel...Good Luck and please don't give up!
