I use my family washer, the only thing is after I wash the pee pads I run a water with bleach wash in hot water and let her rinse, it looks and smells as good as new, and bleach sanitizes it, so I never had a problem, I do a load of pee pads every other day with 5 dogs.oh, I do flush the heavy waste in the toilet, I do use the disposables for the puppies until they are about 4 weeks then them too are moved to washables. I won't add all that non recyclable plastic to the enviroment. just my lil way of eco conservation.
