hhahahaha..I totally believe that. My mother's from Taiwan and certain people are very into fortune telling. I'm Christian therefore I totally disagree with that. This is only my opinion of course. For pets, I think its cute. People get so attached to their pets that they want to know if they are living a happy afterlife. There's no harm to think that way I guess.
