Nala does the same thing. We always have kibble in between the couch cushions. The funniest place she has hidden hers is in my daughter's hair when she lays on the couch. She also hids them behind the open doors. Lately she has really been sniffing around the vents in the floor and I am worried she may be dropping kibble down them. If she is, my house will be smelling of TOTW salmon really soon.
She usually returns to eat it when her food is gone from her bowl. It seems to be tastier after it has been hidden and pushed around for a while.
