I have Pet Plan and I love it. While it doesn't cover checkups, shots, neuter or any of that, it does cover emergencies. Riot got very sick about 2 years ago with a bacterial infection that involved two midnight emergency visits ($95 each!) x-rays, lots of medicine and a 4 day stay at the vet. I had my vet fill out the paperwork and sent it all in and I was reimbursed all but my $100 deductible and the 10% copay. My premium isn't too high either and they give a discount for them being fixed, microchipped and having multiple dogs insured. It's already paid for itself for almost 3 years just from that one event.

I only wish it would help some with shots or checkups and they'd pay outright instead of reimbursing because it was hard having to get all that money together that fast, but it was easier asking for help and charging it to cards knowing I'd be getting that money back in a couple weeks.
