Most people aren't "stupid" and are not "idiots." I hate hearing this being said about people who don't know a lot about dogs....or many other things, for that matter.

We need to remember that we have Yorkies (and other dogs) and know more about dogs in general than a lot of people do. After all - we are on YT. Other than experience, isn't this a place where we have learned much of what we know?

I would just take some situations as an opportunity to educate other people about something they don't know.

My next door neighbors haven't had a dog for 20 years -- and believe me, there is a lot they don't know about dogs - especially current diseases, shots, breeding, training and all the stuff that a lot of us are very well informed about. My neighbors are well educated, productive, involved people - who constantly teach me a lot about things I'm not familiar with.
