Thanks, the keeping things separate makes sense. He's learning fast to stay "off" the playpen side, even though he knows how to climb out. And most the time when i'm walking around he'll just sit there watching me.

And he is so smart it's almost scary! Lol, and i'm not just saying it because he's my pup. He just turned 8 weeks yesterday!
It takes me just minutes to teach him a new trick and for him to do it on command after a couple minutes of telling him. I'll post a video sometime, but his two newest tricks are "check it out" which he will touch his nose on any item I show him and then look to me for a treat.
And the other trick is sooo cute, I can say "break it" to any item and he will pounce it down with his paws. It works better with a water bottle or something.

Earlier today we were on the floor playing with toys and I called him and he was ignoring me, so I said "break it" and he stopped and ran to me so fast and was franicaly looking for something to "break". I was laughing so hard.
