Purebred dogs in general have more health issues due to exactly what yorkie talk strives to educate and warn people about - poor and ignorant breeders. Over-breeding and breeding within the same bloodline cause a ton of problems within a breed and that's what those bad BYB and puppy mills do just to get profit.
That's why it's so good to have forums like YT to help us prospective parents to find the best breeders. Not saying that a yorkie adopted from the very best breeder couldn't be sick, it's just less of a chance since the breeders main goal is produce sound, healthy puppies that grow up to be prime representatives of the breed.
As far as my baby Strudel? I'm keeping mum on that, I am super superstitious! I love him so much I couldn't stand for anything to happen to him!!!!
