also, i think there is always another choice. he could have rehomed his dog. he could have changed cities, he could have sought legal recorse if it truly was harrassement.

Nope I don't know him. I read the article and it said the most neighbors had no complaints. I was actually talking about how hard it is for me to move out on my own with a yorkie. If I'm having trouble both financially and finding a place that would take a small dog like a in a big city like LA, he definitely had a slim shot finding an affordable place where he lived. His situation hit close to home for me. In the article it said he bounced from foster home to foster home as a youth, trying to explain why the pup was so important to him. I also know the responsibilities of a landlord since my father works in property management. Ie tried several times to convince my dad's boss to make her building pet friendly, but she always says no due to liability. I know other landlords who are the same.
