I can understand how the Madden brushes would work great for thicker coats. Gracie's coat isn't very thick and it is fine and silky with no undercoat so she doesn't need a brush that is made to get down to the roots. Once I comb her out all I need is a small (I'd like a really small) brush to fluff her fur up a bit. I have searched and searched for a mini travel brush to use on her but it seems all human brushes are made with plastic bristles these days. I don't like plastic bristles even for myself!
