Haha! When I had Tink at the vet's, another client said I had a 'Silkie Yorkie"! I asked What is that? She told me a Silky Yorkie is like Tink, usually bigger, very light coloring, and having a silky coat. And she said they're very expensive!
I tried to tell her there is no such thing, only a yorkie with a silky coat, and that they do not charge any more for them. She wouldn't believe me! Lol!
In summary... I think it's just another term thought up by unscrupulous greeders to get more money for 'out of standard' Yorkies. Just like 'Teddy bear faced, heart-shaped heads, tea-cup... etc. etc. etc... |
