If you remember that "one man's medicine is another man's poison" then take any suggestion as just that, a personal preference.
I print hundreds of photographs a week and I use four printers.
Three are Epson my preferred printers for photographs but I also run a Brother which is my preferred printer for documents.
Why do I like Epson so much ? well the ink is cheaper and separate cartridges and the Brother only has four cartridges against the Epson's six.
Once I have printed my photograph I spray it with a UV and water proofing so they never fade and can be handled with no problem.
I cannot do this with documents so there is always a danger of wet fingers making the ink run.
