FYI, 1 of the vets that we see told me that it can take up to a year for a dog to fully recuperate from surgery. I had no idea. Hot Rod did and still does the leg hopping and its been almost 3 years. The surgeon and 2 of the vets that we see all say that his leg is knee feels good and is what it should be. They've all said that it could be a learned behaviour on his part.

When the little booger wants to run and/or chase after Maggie, he takes off like a jack rabbit. Good luck tomorrow and please let us know what the surgeon says.
Very good reminder, mom to hot rod

Charlie our lab had a torn ligament repaired when he was just 8 mos old. I want to say it took him almost a full year to be completely back to normal. And even still, he will hold that leg up, Dr. said everything looks healthy and normal, he is fine, it may just be learned behavior.

Let us all pray for sweet little Callie. We pray that her current ailment just be a continuing part of her own healing process. That her surgeon and their staff be skilled and well informed in her condition and that Momma may have patience and her worries be put to rest. Amen
