You might consider trying one of the exercise/fitness balls. That way you can adjust how you're sitting by leaning forward a bit balancing on the ball. This should help you reach your pups to be able to play with them. I also fractured my tailbone and it was a miserable experience. I found balancing on the ball leaning forward with my knees apart and my hands braced on my knees was the most comfortable for me. Good luck!
