This funny because it's something my Louie has been doing lately too. I have had him about a month and he used to follow me everywhere. So much so I thought i wasnt being a good mommy because i couldnt play with him. Now he just sits on the top of the sofa...ALL DAY! I try to get him down and he goes right back up. Recently he started growling at a doorway where he used to sleep in his pen. I am getting nervous there is another animal i dont know about that he does. He growls and barks and sits on the top of the sofa...he doesnt even play anymore. I am with you. Can this be a sign that they are bored or lonely??
