I have the Sherpa carrier too and took it onboard with my previous yorkie. I actually think it couldn't fit under the seat...just a tad too tall...so it stayed on my lap or where my feet were. I now have the Sherpa seatbelted in my backseat of my vehicle and that's where my puppy goes during rides.
