Went to the vet this morning, I told him that Bubba did seem to want to scratch at his ears more yesterday. He took a scraping/sample to check for parasites etc. He said we should treat it like an allergy according to what I said about the bully stick (this is always funny, "if the only thing different is as you say" as though I would omit details of a Friday night bender in which Bubba and I drank cherry Cokes and ate an assortment of Little Debbie's snack cakes with chile flavored pork rinds
). Bless his heart he's just doing his job
So, Benadryl twice a day and I can keep applying the Animax for healing along with hydrocortisone as needed for itching. Once the bumps clear up, stop the Benadryl and by then they should have the results from the scrape and then we can go from there. He recommended trying another brand Bully Stix or waiting until Bubba's a little older.
I hope I can find a bully stick that agrees with him, he realllly like them
