Yorkies do get cold, which is part of the reason we dress them. They have 'hair'...not fur and no undercoat. Also, they will shiver when they are in pain. I am not saying your baby is in pain...just saying you might want to make sure.

Brody was 'shivering' a few weeks ago; he was wearing a light sweater, and it was definitely not cold here in Florida, but something had happened...we have no idea what...and his eye was crusted shut. He was shivering because he was in pain.

You said he was vomiting before and you believed it was from the car ride, but now he's fine and his normal self...but shivering. If he was my Yorkie, I'd make absolutely certain what the problem is and fix it. I'd make sure he's warm and not in pain...or have him checked out if there is any doubt. If he is, as you believe, frightened, I'd fix that, too.
