If you have an article of your husbands clothing that hasn't been washed and you can stand the possibility of it being destroyed or damaged. (a sock, tshirt, anything) or take something and spray some of your husband favorite Cologne on it and put it in his doggie bed with him. Your husband scent may calm him down some.

Anxiety can be a very hard think on them.
This is a great idea and has worked very well for us in the past...especially a larger piece, such as a shirt, that he can cuddle with in his bed too. I'm so sorry Bentley is having a rough time without your hubby being there for him. I'm sure he would if he could...he's busy protecting his country.

We went to my parents' for Christmas vacation, and when it was time for my husband to get back home for work, we decided I would stay at my parent's with Bella for an extra week, and he would go back home with Sprout (Sprout is a Daddy's boy or so I thought). The whole time we were apart, my husband said that Sprout would dart out the door when he came home from work, and sit on the ground in front of the passenger side of the car waiting for me to get out, and only when my husband came and got him would he stop.

He gave Sprout one of my sweatshirts to cuddle with and that DID seem to appease him until I came home. Like I said before, I highly recommend it.
