Jada and Bogie came into our lives after our boys were grown, one married and one was in college. I can remember the day my DIL called me from work to tell me that one of their clients had a little girl she wanted to find a good home for. I never saw a picture of her, all I had to go on was what my DIL told me about her.
I can't explain it, but I just knew that Jada was mine. The day that my DIL brought her home to me, the minute I saw her it was love at first sight. My husband the germaphobic...we will never have a dog in the house..what do you want with a yappy little dog, macho guy was in love too. The first night I was setting up her kennel area and he said, what are you doing?? I said getting Jada's area ready for her to go to bed. He looked at me like I was insane and said, she is too little to sleep alone, she needs to sleep with us
I was in total shock and she has had him wrapped around her little paws since. It was also his idea to get her a playmate so she wouldn't be lonely..so then came Bogie
These little loves have us both totally in love with them. They are our kids and always will be. They have brought so much joy into our lives. I can't imagine for one second, life without them in it. DH says I am in my second motherhood with them and I admit he is right.
