Well - at least you know it doesn't hurt. He just doesn't like it. Tell him, he ought to try getting a permanent and getting his nails done sometime. We women go through a lot more than that all the time!

My 8-week old pup's ears were up when I got him and then they went down. A month or so later, I removed a lot of hair off his ears (weight) --and they went right up. But, they may have gone up anyway - I'll never know.

And my dog has "huge ears," so there's always hope.

The funny thing I noticed is that he looks much bigger with his ears up - and he is actually about two inches taller - but it's his ears adding the height.

**** My dog's weight is about the same as yours - The last time I weighed him - at 17 weeks, he was 5 1/4 pounds...so, he's up and growing. He had a 12 pound mother and a 4 1/2 pound father!!!!
