There are many threads on crate training, some should be helpful. In early training I do not close the door on the crate. I use wire crates. I sit on the floor with the crate in front of me. I call the pup and show them a treat through the back wire. You must make the crate be a happy , safe place that they love. It usually take about 2 weeks to train them to love their crate. Mine are fed in their crate and that is where they get a Kong filled with treats. They also have special toys for the crate. At first don't close the door, then close it for a few seconds, build up the time the door is closed. Right now your pup sees the crate as a jail not his safe comfy den. Hope this helps.
