This is info for the flying with your pet buying the ticket thread, this thread or parts of it have been around in several places. I personally had NEVER heard of a "pet ticket" and there for a "pet seat", that said I asked my personal expert my DH, he used to work for Alaska Airlines, out of LAX, so this is where the info comes from. YES they do sell "pet seats", BUT they cost the same as a people one and the only one's DH ever saw being used were in first class as they were moving "show dogs" from CA to AK. These dogs, as per DH were the Huskies, beautiful, huge, very well behaved. Special arrangement were made on a case by case ticket. They had to have the special harnesses, special set ups with the seats, you know, everything. BUT, I was wrong, they do sell the seats, now anybody else? I don't know. The chain went from the counter to the stew, to the maint. guy, back to the stew, load the dog, special straps etc. Other people who have show dogs who travel and fly with them have similar stories. Anybody else with info?
