I generally try to keep it pretty generic on Facebook because I have a wide variety of people reading my page. However, the timeline concerns me because it makes identity theft so much easier. Your date and place of birth... someone then goes to your parents' page, sees your mom's marriage date and name change, then they have your mother's maiden name... etc etc. A lot of websites and retail will use somewhat obscure facts from your past as security, and suddenly those facts aren't so hard to find. My posts I don't care about so much.

I really do think Facebook will be involved in some major scandal where they are caught selling private information to a foreign government. I give it five years or less.

Keep in mind too that facial recognition software is going to be commonplace in the near future as well.
