Lol, my sister once had a black lab named Bacardi. I no longer think of liquor when I think of the name, I think of her dog.
Louie was named by the rescue from whence he came, but DH decided we should keep the name because it's the name of the St. Louis Blues' mascot. He's a bit of a hockey fanatic. Louie has a Blues collar and already has a Cardinals collar for when baseball season gets here. If we hadn't kept his name as Louie, it would have been Yadi, after Yadier Molina. We are slightly huge Cardinals fans around here
