Katie Scarlett is the only dog we have ever owned and she is such a diva! She thinks she has to be with someone (mostly me) every second or she doesn't like it one bit. I am a stay at home wife at the present and I know that has a lot to do with it. She goes every single place we go and if she can't go in with us one of us stays outside or if it's a long day, she goes to day care. She adores other people, but she just has to be with someone. She can't be alone. When we are home, she has to follow me every where I go. You name it she is always 2 steps behind me, but I don't mind. Not having any skin kids, it's nice to have someone need me so much. She does sleep in her big girl bed next to our bed, but I have to cuddle with her before bed and first thing in the morning. Everyone says 'she loves her Momma or she knows who her Momma is' because no matter how many people are in the room, she comes to find me and make sure she knows where I am at all times. She is such a Momma's girl, but I love it. My hubby works odd hours and is gone a lot, so she is like my constant companion. But I can see how she would not be the perfect dog for every owner. I know she would no be happy with someone who leaves her alone alot or doesn't have as much time to devote to her as I do. I often worry if we ever do have skin kids of our own how she will take it. I hope she will be ok. I honestly believe she thinks she is a human not a dog. LOL
